By booking with the hotel or using any of the services made available by the hotel you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms set out below. These terms and conditions (Terms), as may be amended from time to time, apply to all services provided by the hotel.

Rate includes breakfast, 11% VAT and lodging/city tax.

Check-in: From 14:00 hours.
Check-out: Until 11:00 hours.

Guide dogs are accepted with prior arrangement at the hotel’s discretion, but otherwise no pets are allowed at the hotel.

All rooms are non-smoking rooms.

We accept the following methods of payment:

  • Credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express;
  • PayPal and bank transfers.

All outstanding charges must be paid for in full on check-out from the hotel. If the outstanding charges do not exceed the authorization taken on check-in, the authorization for the amount not utilized will be released, however, we cannot control how long it takes for your bank to effect such release. If staying for multiple nights at the hotel we may require you to make payment for any outstanding charges on a more frequent basis during your stay. Although all prices are quoted in EUR, please note that charges will be made in hotel’s local currency (ISK) according to the exchange rate on the day that the charge is made.

Booking confirmation is sent from Hótel Grímsborgir via email.

If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform Hótel Grímsborgir in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when making your booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

At the time of booking or at check-in, the hotel will take guests credit/debit card details and the guest authorizes the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us. The hotel shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances. No Booking shall be treated as confirmed until the details and/or payment/deposit described in this paragraph have been provided.

Cancellation policy:

Standard rate: If canceled up to 48 hours before the arrival, no fee will be charged. If canceled later or in case of no-show, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
Non-refundable rate: If canceled, modified or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

To cancel your booking, you will need to contact the hotel directly via email or phone +354 555 7878. Cancellation is not confirmed until you have received a confirmation email from the hotel.
